HOW IT WORKS

Set the terms. Track sales. Pay vendors.

Start with each vendor’s agreed share and the amount you already owe them.

01

Assign products and rates

Choose a vendor for each product and set their share of the sale. Mark products the shop owns separately.

02

Track sales and refunds

Keep using Shopify POS and your online store. Tillgrove records earnings when a sale is completed and adjusts the balance after a refund.

03

Prepare statements and record payments

Check what each vendor is owed, add agreed fees, and download statements. Pay through your bank, then record the payment in Tillgrove.

VENDOR BALANCES AND STATEMENTS

Show vendors how
you got the total.

Each vendor can check their sales, fees, refunds and recorded payments in a private account.

Private vendor accounts

Vendors see only their own records. They can check their balance and download statements without a Shopify account.

Refunds after payment

A refund reduces the vendor’s balance, even if you already paid them. Any amount they owe carries forward to their next payment. Earlier statements keep their original figures.

Bring your current balances

Import vendors and what you already owe them. Choose a start date for new sales. You can preview recent sales before you start tracking.

Review missing or changed order details

Issues can block new statements and payment records for one vendor or the whole shop. If an item’s vendor is unknown, these actions are blocked for all vendors until the issue is resolved.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you install

Which shops is Tillgrove for?

Shops that sell products for other vendors and pay them a share of each sale. Examples include consignment shops, maker collectives and galleries. Tillgrove keeps products the shop owns separate from vendor earnings.

Does Tillgrove replace Shopify POS?

No. Shopify handles checkout, inventory and taxes. Tillgrove calculates vendor earnings from completed sales with confirmed ownership. For an item that isn’t in your catalog, staff can select a vendor using the Tillgrove tile in Shopify POS.

Does Tillgrove send money to vendors?

You pay vendors through your bank or payment service. Tillgrove exports the amounts due and lets you record completed payments. Issuing a statement does not send or record a payment.

How are earnings calculated?

The vendor’s percentage applies to the item price after discounts. Tax, shipping and tips are excluded. Fees, refunds and payments to vendors reduce the balance. You can hold earnings for a set number of days to cover returns and require a minimum amount before paying.

Can I use it for an online-only shop?

Yes. Tillgrove can track online sales from the same Shopify store. You do not need Shopify POS for online-only sales. The app supports US-dollar balances and up to one physical shop location.

What if I’m moving from spreadsheets or another app?

Import each vendor’s balance as of your start date, including any amount they owe the shop. These totals should already account for earlier sales, fees, refunds and payments. The import does not recreate those transactions. Assign products before tracking new sales. Refunds for older sales need the original order details and may require review. Some exchanges and order edits are not supported.
